Sharp clicking noise when turning the steering wheel. Most likely, this means your CV joint is out of commission and needs to be replaced. Squealing or whining from the brake area or under the hood. Are your brakes making a loud squeal when you go to stop? If so, you need to have your brake pads replaced immediately. Letting this go can be very dangerous and may turn into a much more costly repair if your rotors are worn down. Hearing a loud squeal from under the hood, however, probably means that one of your car's belts is ready to break. Ticking when you come to a stop or rev the engine. We always like to stress the importance of oil changes and explaining this noise gives us another reason to do so. If you hear a ticking sound when you come to a stop or a ticking that increases in frequency when you accelerate, it may indicate that the engine's valve lifters are not being properly lubricated because your car's oil is low or dirty. In this case, you need to have your oil changed as soon as possible or you may cause severe damage to your engine.
