The all-new 2016 Toyota Tacoma recently received an exciting unveiling at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The fully redesigned pickup is still fully capable, and even more so now with a new engine, transmission and suspension tuning!

Tacoma was the first truck that Toyota built for the U.S. in the U.S., and every year since its introduction 20 years ago it's been a top seller in its segment. Now the next-generation 2016 Tacoma carries on this legacy and when it arrives later this year at Toyota of Deerfield Beach we're sure it'll continue to be the "Lord of the Rigs"!

The 2016 Toyota Tacoma is thoroughly remodeled. In its ground-up redesign engineers didn’t miss a spot, and consumers will be excited by its changes. Updates include:

  • A stronger frame and body shell reinforced with durable high-strength steel
  • Closer family resemblance when standing side by side with the Toyota Tundra, Tacoma now shares its big brother's hex grille and more defined fascia
  • Design changes that distinguish Tacoma include its more muscular looking hood, projection beam lights, bolder wheel flares, and new 16 and 18 inch wheel designs
  • A long list of available new luxury features, including blind-spot monitoring, a power moonroof, leather seats, smart key with push-button start and wireless smartphone charging
  • New standard GoPro mount placed near the rearview mirror gives drivers the ability to capture their adventurers on camera
  • New locking tailgate includes a rear spoiler and dampening feature that keeps it from slamming when opened
  • Along with a four-cylinder engine, an all-new and segment-first 3.5-liter V-6 with direct injection debuts; the new engine offers greater power and miles per gallon than its predecessor
  • The all-new V-6, as well as the four-cylinder, are mated to a new six-speed automatic transmission; a six-speed manual is optional with the V-6
  • New Multi-Terrain Select system enhances ability of the TRD Off-Road model, giving drivers the option to adjust performance for several terrain types, such as mud, sand or loose rock
  • Retuned suspension provides smoother ride on pavement and more capable ride off pavement

Stay tuned for details about Tacoma's launch later this year!
