Tundra received a 2014 makeover. You'll see new, beefier styling outside and more high-tech bells and whistles inside. Toyota's Entune smartphone connectivity applications are now available in the Tundra, which has also adopted a rearview camera as standard equipment on all models. Newly configured instrument panels are designed to relay vital information at a glance, while control dials and buttons are more easily accessible to the driver. Blind-spot monitoring and cross-traffic alerts are new Tundra options in 2014.
Now available at Deerfield Beach Toyota dealers, the new 2014 Toyota Tundra offers a choice of regular, double or CrewMax cabs along with three different bed lengths. Depending on your workload (or how hard you want to play), the Tundra's V6 with 5-speed automatic or V8s with 6-speed automatics offer a range of 270 to 381 horsepower in 2- or 4-wheel drive versions and a maximum towing capacity of 10,400 pounds.
The base model has a long list of standard features, some of which include keyless entry, heated mirrors, full power accessories, windshield wiper de-icer, Bluetooth connectivity, touchscreen control interface, 4-speaker radio with CD and USB connection and the rearview camera we mentioned earlier. That list of standard equipment augments as you move up in trim levels. At the top end, you see such standard inclusions as power-folding, auto-dimming and heated outside mirrors, heated and ventilated front seats, leather upholstery, a sunroof and a 12-speaker sound system.
As with all Toyotas, safety is a paramount priority and the Tundra is equipped with Toyota's Star Safety System which encompasses a host of electronically enhanced safety features which include vehicle stability control, traction control, anti-lock braking, electronic brake-force distribution and brake assist. Also standard on all Tundra models is a generous array of seat-mounted side, knee and side curtain airbags.
