2018 Toyota Tundra Review: What's Changed?

If you're looking for a go-anywhere truck that's prepared for tough jobs, bad weather and rough terrain, don't overlook the Toyota Tundra.

KBB.com's 2018 Toyota Tundra review says its highlights include "a sterling reputation for reliability and resale," while Car and Driver praises its "off-ready dexterity."

Tundra receives updates this year that heighten its appeal. Passenger safety is emphasized with Toyota Safety Sense-P, which is now standard on all trim levels. A new TRD Sport Package is now available as well, bringing together features like color-keyed bumpers and mirrors, a body-color surround on the grille, flashy LEDs in all lighting positions and 20-inch silver-painted wheels.

The half-ton pickup also gains a styling refresh up front, where it shows off revised headlight and grille designs, including updated billet-style grilles on 1794 Edition and Limited models.

Toyota Tundra Cab & Bed Length Options

Shoppers can find the 2018 Toyota Tundra for sale in Deerfield Beach and there are five trim levels to select from, including SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum and 1794 Edition. Cab and bed length options are as follows:

Notable standard amenities include Bluetooth, a backup camera, Entune Audio (navigation and App Suite on select models), front and back auxiliary power outlets, split-folding rear seats, mudguards, LED daytime running lights, deck rail and tailgate caps, taillights and stop lights with dual vortex generators, windshield wiper de-icer, and an easy lower and lift tailgate.

Ready to Rock With Two Beefy V8s

Test drive a 2018 Toyota Tundra in Palm Beach County and experience the raw power of its two muscular V8s. Engines include a 310-horsepower, 4.6-liter V8 that pumps out 327 pound-feet of torque, and a 371-horsepower, 5.7-liter V8 engine with 401 torque. A six-speed automatic is the sole transmission option. The 2018 Toyota Tundra's tow rating is an ample 10,200 pounds with standard tow hitch receivers.

Making Safety a Top Priority

With Toyota Safety Sense-P now standard on all models, 2018 Toyota Tundra reviews say shoppers have another reason to strongly consider this truck. TSS-P includes several intelligent features that aim to protect, including Automatic High Beams, a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection function, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and Lane Departure Alert.

Rear Cross-Traffic Alert and Blind Spot Monitor are also included as standard equipment on the Tundra 1794 Edition and Platinum, and are available as options on the SR5 and Limited.

Additionally, all Tundra models continue to be outfitted with the STAR Safety System, another signature set of security features from Toyota which includes Smart Stop, Brake Assist, Electronic Brake-force Distribution, Vehicle Stability Control and Traction Control.
