2023 Toyota Tundra Exterior

What's New for the 2023 Toyota Tundra?

The 2023 Tundra remains mostly unchanged from its previous design. However, the SR5 trim seems to have undergone a few tweaks. For instance, Toyota has updated the interior and exterior of the truck with sleek black and dark-gray accents. With the SX kit, you get a darker rear 4x4 logo, black door handles, body trim, and 18-inch dark grey wheels.

What Are the 2023 Tundra Trims & Features?

You can choose from 7 trims: SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum,1794 Edition, TRD Pro, and Capstone. SR is Tundra's base model, which includes standard features like the 8-inch infotainment system and a 12V auxiliary power system. The SR5 introduces a larger 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system and heated front seats. Next is the Limited with the Drive Mode Select (DMS) system and a 12-speaker JBL® sound system. Higher up the trim ladder is Platinum which lets you get 20-inch rims instead of the standard 18-inch. The 1974 Edition provides drivers with distinctive aesthetics, such as a mesh grille highlighted with chrome and a chrome surround. TRD Pro has Multi-Terrain Select with Crawl Control and part-time 4WD. Last on the list is the Capstone, which is Tundra's flagship model featuring Adaptive Variable Suspension and Power Running Boards with BedStep.

How Much Horsepower Does the 2023 Tundra Have?

Contrary to most pickups that spot a V8, the Tundra only has a twin-turbo V6 coupled with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The first five versions include a 3.5-liter V6 turbocharged engine that generates 389 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque. This option lets you choose between a rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive with low-range gearing.

The V6, coupled with a hybrid drivetrain, is standard on the TRD Pro and Capstone but is optional on the Limited, Platinum, and 1794 Edition trim. In total, this combo produces 437 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque.

What Safety Features Does the 2023 Tundra Include?

Among the key safety features you should expect in the Tundra are Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist.
