2021 Toyota Prius Exterior

What's New For the 2021 Toyota Prius?

Improved technology, more safety aids, and a new trim are changes you'll find for the Toyota Prius in 2021. The Prius still comes with the base seven-inch infotainment display system, but you can now upgrade to a larger screen with an 11.6-inch display instead. Every Prius trim is now equipped with class-leading safety technology, beginning with the entry trim level. More safety amenities are available as you move up the Prius line. A special trim called the 2020 Edition is part of the Prius lineup this year. The powertrain carries over from 2020, but the Prius is available in either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Trims with electric all-wheel drive have unique styling cues to distinguish them from their peers.

2021 Toyota Prius Trims and Features

The L Eco is the entry Prius trim level in 2021. The L Eco is well-stocked for a base model with all the safety and technology features you need to stay safe and entertained on the road. The L Eco has a maximum seating capacity for five people with 50 cubic feet of storage capacity in the back. Technology on the base trim includes a seven-inch infotainment display compatible with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Amazon Alexa. The L Eco and LE, the second Prius trim, both have 15-inch wheels and LED headlights. The LE gets more technological touches, including additional safety aids and parking sensors.

The LE and XLE are both offered with all-wheel drive. The all-wheel drive versions add LED accents to the headlights and some additional styling modifications. The XLE gets larger 17-inch alloy wheels with titanium-finished wheel inserts. Its interior adds on luxury with a wireless smartphone charging device, a driver's seat that moves in eight ways, and a passenger's seat with four-way adjustment.

The 2020 Edition has custom floor mats with the trim logo and a unique glove box that locks with a key. An adaptive front lighting system is standard on the Limited. This trim also gets the Prius's new infotainment system with a high-resolution touchscreen and a larger display screen.
