2021 Toyota Sienna

What's New For the 2021 Toyota Sienna?

The 2021 model year marks the beginning of the Toyota Sienna's fourth production cycle. The styling is more attractive, the powertrain is more fuel-efficient due to a hybrid configuration replacing the V6, and Toyota provides an all-wheel drive option.

Which Trims & Features Are Available in 2021?

Available in LE, XLE, XSE, Limited, and Platinum trim levels, the 2021 Toyota Sienna has three cloth-trimmed seats to accommodate up to seven or eight people, depending on the model. The front includes an eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat, and there are power-sliding side doors to make access to the third row very easy. At the XLE trim level, the cloth trim is upgraded to synthetic leather trim, heating ability is added on the front seats, and the front passenger seat gets four-way power adjustability. The Sienna receives leather seat trim and front-seat ventilation at the Limited trim level. Exclusive to the range-topping Platinum are heating ability extended to the steering wheel and second row.

For infotainment, the Sienna gets a six-speaker AM/FM stereo system, Bluetooth hands-free phone calling and audio streaming, built-in Amazon Alexa compatibility, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto smartphone integration, a trial subscription to SiriusXM Radio service, seven USB ports (one for media and six for charging), a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a 9-inch touchscreen. Also standard are tri-zone automatic climate control, remote keyless entry, push-button engine start, and 18 cup holders.

The XLE gains a power moonroof, proximity keyless entry, quad-zone automatic climate control, an eight-speaker system, HD Radio, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a garage-door opener. The XSE welcomes Driver Easy Speak for amplifying the driver's voice throughout the cabin, as well as a navigation system. The Limited and Platinum trim levels get a 12-speaker stereo system and wireless charging ability.

2021 Toyota Sienna Interior

A Perfect Blend of Power and Fuel Efficiency

Unlike the 3.5 V6 engine of the last few previous iterations, the 2021 version of the Sienna combines a smaller 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with a pair of electric motors. This new powertrain puts out 245 horsepower, and the engine is joined to a continuously variable transmission.

Safety Features in the Forefront for 2021

Driver assistance on the 2021 Sienna consists of the Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 suite of driver safety aids, a blind-spot monitoring system with rear cross-traffic alert, and a rearview camera with rear parking sensors. Crash protection comes from ten airbags. For more driver assistance, go with the XLE, which adds front parking sensors and hands-free parking assist, or the Platinum, which has the exclusive head-up display and a surround-view camera (in place of the rearview camera).
