2020 Toyota Avalon

What's New For the 2020 Toyota Avalon?

The Toyota Avalon is a large sedan that has been produced and sold by Toyota for more than 25 years. The Avalon continues to be a top option for those that are looking for a large, stylish, comfortable, and safe sedan to drive. With the 2020 model year, the Toyota Avalon will once again be a popular option. This year, the sedan offers a variety of new options and features, including the new TRD trim that offers many of the top features available.

2020 Toyota Avalon Trims and Features

The 2020 Toyota Avalon has five different trims in total, which are the XLE, XSE, TRD, Touring, and Limited trims. All five of these trims are equipped with the base engine, which is a powerful V6 engine that is more than sufficient for a vehicle of this size. The main differences between the trims are the number of tech, safety and luxury features provided. For most drivers, even the base XLE trim has plenty of features that will impress compared to the base trim for competing vehicles.

A Perfect Blend of Power and Fuel Efficiency

All trims with the 2020 Avalon come with the same engine option, which is a V6 3.5-liter engine that produces more than 300 horsepower and about 265 pound-feet of torque. This is also coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive, although you can upgrade this to all-wheel drive at some of the higher trim levels. Even though the sedan has a high-performance engine, it also has excellent fuel efficiency. The Avalon gets about 32 MPG when driving on the highway and 22 MPG when driving in the city.

2020 Toyota Avalon Safety Features

The 2020 Avalon has a wide range of safety features that come standard with all trim levels. Some of these features will include a rearview camera, rear cross traffic alert, blind spot monitoring, and LED headlights. It will also include forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning and lane keep assist.

All of these features have helped to give the 2020 Avalon good overall ratings. Thus far, they have received overall five-star ratings from the NHTSA and very positive ratings from the IIHS. These positive ratings are comparable compared to prior model years.
