Toyota and Lexus Introduce Treehouse for EV Charger Setup
The growing number of electric vehicles on the road is leading to new advancements in charging technology. Toyota and Lexus are leading the way by partnering with Treehouse—a software operating system—to provide a more convenient and efficient home charging installation process for their customers.
EVgo Inc. has teamed up with Toyota to introduce new fast-charging stations in Baldwin Park and Sacramento, California. This initiative falls under Toyota’s “Empact” program, which is focused on improving access to EV charging in underserved areas. Each site is equipped with robust 350kW chargers and is thoughtfully placed near everyday destinations such as grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping centers. Designed for convenience and value, each station can handle up to eight vehicles at once.
This summer, Toyota announced its investment in the EV charging network IONNA to help develop a high-powered charging infrastructure for battery electric vehicles across North America. Toyota, along with six other automakers, is supporting IONNA to enhance access to charging stations for EV owners.
